After placing an order for a travel system, Matt and his wife are yet to receive their merchandise, three weeks later. Matt expresses his grief after trying to track his order with Mothercare and the freight company mandated to deliver the system. According to the shipment company, the paperwork was delivered to them, but the item was missing. This compelled him to call Mothercare, and indeed, they confirmed that the paperwork was sent but the item had apparently gone missing. Matt had not received any communication prior to contacting the company, which was an inconvenience on his side. Although Mothercare agreed to refund the full amount, and a £20 e-voucher for the inconvenience, the company had lost a potential returning customer.

Contacting Mothercare via their phone number seems to be unhelpful to the ranting clients, and neither does physical visit to the stores. It’s quite evident that Mothercare UK has a long way to go in addressing the issues facing their customer care departments. The head of the customer care departments needs to make an overhaul of the entire sector soon enough before the company loses more clients. Alternatively, all clients ought to be compensated for inconveniences caused by unethical customer representatives.
